Education leaders head back to the classroom–together

Last year, we sponsored the Education Idea Exchange, convening 50 Minneapolis education leaders in Chicago to hear from experts on social-emotional learning.

Through the 612 Youth Engagement Project, we challenge high school students to review grants for local summer camps, putting their decision-making skills to work while introducing them to philanthropy. As of last year, they have awarded more than $1 million in grants.

  • We disbursed nearly $60 million in Minnesota and around the world.
  • We distributed 73% of our grant dollars to Minnesota causes and organizations.
  • We supported more than 2,400 organizations, locally and globally.

Giving By Focus Area

Our donors care about a vast array of causes in Minnesota and around the world. Whether it’s a homeless shelter down the street from our office, a Minneapolis museum or a hunger relief organization that helps people in some of the world’s poorest countries, the organizations we support reflect the diversity of our giving community.
