The Minneapolis Foundation helps strengthen nonprofit organizations through services such as planned giving administration, charitable fund administration and professional investment management.
Our assistance programs are typically built around one or more of the following resources:
- Planned Giving Assistance – support for helping your organization accept and invest planned gifts from supporters.
- Endowment Funds – a permanent fund for assets transferred from your organization or donated directly by donors. You can choose to receive annual distributions of the income from the fund, or you can allow income to accrue to help the fund grow.
- Opportunity Funds – a fund that holds assets transferred from your organization or donated directly by donors. Grants from the fund may be made back to your nonprofit from income and/or from principal.
- Investment Management – an opportunity to pool your assets in a large, diversified portfolio. You maintain ownership and control. We provide oversight and fiduciary management.
An experienced planned giving professional is available to help you with strategy, advice, training and technical assistance.
The Minneapolis Foundation has more than 90 years of experience acting as a fiduciary of charitable assets. Financial performance for the funds we manage consistently ranks in the top 25 percent of foundations nationally.
