King Corn
- In this documentary, two recent college graduates discover where food comes from, starting from when they plant a single acre of corn and follow it from seed to the dinner table.
Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy
- IATP is a nonprofit that works locally and globally at the intersection of policy and practice to ensure fair and sustainable food, farm and trade systems.
The Northside Healthy Eating Project
- Created to encourage northside Minneapolis residents to eat more fruits and vegetables.
Hunger Free Minnesota:
- A coalition of Minnesota community, corporate and hunger-relief partners.
Growing Power Inc.
- A Milwaukee-based nonprofit started by Will Allen that is dedicated to sustainable food systems (including a large compost project).
Farm to School
- Connects K-12 schools with local farms to serve healthy meals in cafeterias while providing education on agriculture, health and nutrition.
Land Stewardship Project
- Mission is to foster an ethic of stewardship for farmland, to promote sustainable agriculture and to develop sustainable communities
Gardening Matters
- Dedicated to promoting and preserving community gardening across the Twin Cities.
Minnesota Cooks
- The 2011 program brings together local farmers with some of Minnesota's premier chefs as they demonstrate how they use farm fresh, Minnesota grown ingredients to create award-winning fare for their restaurants.
Taking Steps Together – Hennepin County Medical Center
- TST is a nutrition and healthy lifestyle education program for families who are living with or are concerned about childhood obesity.

- Kindred Kitchen is a food business incubator in North Minneapolis. We provide our clients with the tools and resources needed to grow and stabilize their business.
Kids Cook
- Kids Cook is a school program that includes growing fresh foods in the school’s garden and learning cooking skills.
Urban Baby
- Urban Baby works in communities to help empower families to grow and cook fresh foods for their children. We want to reclaim the dinner table and strengthen families, neighborhoods and communities around healthy eating.
