We accomplish this through community leadership, collaborative initiatives, public awareness, grantmaking, advocacy, and convening.

Close the Gap

The Minneapolis Foundation is proud to partner with the business sector, TPT, the Itasca Project, and many other community partners to spotlight and address racial and economic disparities in Minnesota and the impact of ignoring them.

In the spring of 2008, The Minneapolis Foundation co-sponsored a six-part TPT Minnesota Channel series called Close the Gap (view the short video promos). This series explores the causes and consequences of racial and economic gaps in our community and profiles organizations working effectively to reverse these trends.
