Entegris:
Local partner, global impact

Like many companies, Chaska-based Entegris conducted its giving philanthropy largely under the radar, often through the company founder's private foundation.

When Entegris decided to develop a more structured corporate giving program, they turned to The Minneapolis Foundation.

"It's been a perfect fit," says Entegris' Lori Kotars, an HR professional who oversees the corporation's philanthropy.

The Minneapolis Foundation helped Entegris develop, launch, and administer both an employee giving program and a corporate grantmaking program.

With more than 2,500 employees worldwide, Entegris needed a partner with local expertise and global connections. They required expert advice on the tax implications of international giving. Ensuring the privacy of employee giving was another reason Entegris chose to outsource its charitable program administration.

To date, more than $300,000 has been granted in matched employee gifts and more than $1 million in corporate grants have supported charities in Minnesota and around the world.
