Destination 2010
 
 
Approximately 210 students in 41 high schools in the Minneapolis and St. Paul school districts continue to participate in Destination 2010, a student achievement and scholarship initiative of The Minneapolis Foundation. The focus over the next few years will be to help the students graduate from high school and prepare for and succeed at higher education.

Learn from Destination 2010 students and leaders and other education experts about how the barriers and promising approaches to helping more young people attain higher education. Challenging Expectations, a Twin Cities Public Television program asks the question "What keeps kids from going to college?"

Explore the key topics associated with higher education including teaching, parent involvement and poverty. Viewpoints and profiles of high school students are combined with input from educators, administrators and some of the state's leading thinkers on education.

Following the program is a half hour teen-only spin-off called Challenging Expectations: Youth Voices which presents a variety of youth views on a range of educational issues.
