1. Read all sections of the guidelines and particularly review our proposal requirements and specific approaches (what we fund) under the Key Results to see if your organization fits within our guidelines.
2. Contact the Community Philanthropy Officer to discuss which Strategic Focus Area you are intending to apply under.
   
3. Complete the Minnesota Common Grant Cover Sheet, Application, and Checklist.
   The narrative should be no more than 5 pages using 12 point font.
   
4. Complete the Strategic Framework Cover Sheet (pdf) and attach it to your grant application. Click here for a Microsoft Word version.
   
5. The deadline for applications is 4:30 p.m. on March 15 and September 1. Late applications will not be considered for further review.
   
6. We are not accepting electronic submissions for the March 15 deadline.
   
7. Send two (2) hard copies of your completed application to:

Grant recipients are required to submit a report about their activities using the Minnesota Common Report Form.  Reports are due within one month following the end of the grant period. Interim or final reports must be submitted prior to submitting a new request.  An organization must be current on all grant reports before submitting another grant proposal.
