In 1982, Harry (Bobby) Piper, Jr. and his wife, Virginia Piper, established the Piper Family Fund. In 1992, Mr. Piper left a bequest of $15 million to the Fund to continue his charitable work. Currently, the Fund has assets of more than $42 million.
The Fund's advisors work with The Minneapolis Foundation in support of general grantmaking activities.
