Fourth Generation, a program of the Minneapolis Foundation, raised nearly $20,000 to support local organizations focused on mental health at its 5th annual Graze 4 Good fundraiser.
Held at the Surly Destination Brewery, Graze 4 Good featured gourmet food created by six renowned Twin Cities chefs, as well as Surly brews and a foodie-themed silent auction. The event drew more than 300 local leaders, emerging philanthropists, and other community members.
Featured chefs included Kyual Cribben of Tilia, Doug Flicker and Amy Greeley of Piccolo and Sandcastle, Katy Gerdes of Angel Food Bakery, Jorge Guzman of Surly, Christina Nguyen of Hola Arepa, and Landon Schoenefeld of Nighthawks and Haute Dish.
Funds raised at Graze 4 Good go directly into Fourth Generation’s grantmaking pool, supporting nonprofits that are addressing critical needs in the Twin Cities. This year’s grants, which will be awarded in June, will go to organizations focused on mental health.
Every year, members of Fourth Generation vote to choose an issue, research it together, and make grants to local nonprofits. In the past six years, Fourth Generation has granted nearly $175,000 to address critical issues such as aging services, youth homelessness, food justice, and small business development.
