Navigating the COVID-19 Pandemic
The world, our nation, and our local community are in uncharted territory as we navigate the COVID-19 pandemic. The regional outbreak will have immediate and long-term economic effects on people and organizations all over our community, and Minneapolis-St. Paul nonprofits are on the front lines of this rapidly evolving situation.
We will make grants from the OneMPLS Fund to help support business and essential program continuity for local nonprofits that:
- Provide services to address the economic impact on individuals whose employment has been reduced or eliminated as a result of the pandemic, particularly the most vulnerable segments of the workforce (e.g., contract workers, artists, and students).
- Meet basic needs for vulnerable populations, particularly older adults and youth.
The Foundation’s online portal for this funding opportunity will be closed at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21. Organizations that submitted applications in time for consideration during our first three rounds of pandemic response grantmaking have been notified of decisions. Any applications that remain when the portal closes will be reviewed at a slower rate; we will notify those organizations of grantmaking decisions in the coming weeks.
