Seeing Nature in a New Way

Students in the Culinary Arts Pathway at Burnsville High School engaged in a hands-on exploration of Native American culture and Indigenous food systems. The project included adding Native-authored texts to the classroom cookbook library, creating lessons around Indigenous food knowledge, and welcoming Native Experts, Knowledge Keepers, and Elders to share traditional teachings.
