RFP: ConnextMSP Project Director

The Minneapolis Foundation is requesting proposals to project direct the work of ConnextMSP over a twelve-month period.

ConnextMSP is an alumni network for graduates of our region’s top youth development programs that uses technology and social events to connect them to some of our region’s most significant employers. Goals include helping our region retain some of our most talented and experienced young people of color and helping those young people develop a cohort of peer to support them throughout their careers. Key tools include an online platform that allows ConnextMSP members to network with employers, search for jobs, and learn about professional development opportunities exclusive to the cohort. Our college and career readiness partners include, but in the future are not limited to: AchieveMpls, BestPrep, Boys and Girls Club, The Brand Lab, College Possible, Genesys Works, Junior Achievement, Page Education Foundation, Power of YOU, Project Success, Right Track, STEP-UP, Urban Scholars, and Wallin Scholars.

The completed response to this RFP must be submitted by September 5.

Detailed proposal instructions can be found in this PDF.

The Minneapolis Foundation: A Great Place to Work!

The Foundation nurtures a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture. We invest in our staff and look for ways to build strong teams. Here’s a sampling of the benefits a Foundation team member enjoys:

  • Robust Health and Dental Insurance Plans
Choose between two health plans, with the Foundation covering a significant portion of the premiums for employees and their dependents. And we care about those pearly whites, with the Foundation paying 90% of the cost of employee dental premiums.
  • SEP-IRA Retirement Plan
After completing one year of service, employees are eligible to participate in a SEP-IRA plan. The Foundation contributes an amount equal to 8% of base salary to the plan for each eligible employee.
  • Generous Paid Personal Time Policies
We believe the best employees are happy and healthy. Generous paid personal time (PPT) allowances are just one way we invest in the overall health and well-being of our workforce.
  • Summer Fridays
Minnesota summers are short, and we’ve found that closing at noon on summer Fridays just makes sense!
  • The Fun Starts Here
Regular anniversary/birthday celebrations are complemented by one-off events like lawn bowling or a trip to Surly Brewing!
  • You’ll Never Go Hungry!
Located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis, Foundation staff have access in summer to a plethora of food truck choices right outside our doors. When the weather drives you inside, you have more than 8 miles of skyways to satisfy needs ranging from Target runs to brewpubs to hitting your 10,000 Steps goal!
