Giving and learning together
Guests mingling at Fourth Generation's Graze 4 Good event

Fourth Generation is a hands-on experience in philanthropy for rising leaders who care about local issues and want to make a bigger impact.

Impact

Since Fourth Generation started in 2010, members have raised more than $700,000 to address critical issues like mental health, youth homelessness, food justice, affordable housing, place-based disparities, climate justice, economic mobility, education equity, and more. Here’s how it works:

Learn

Members listen to community and learn from experts about a critical local issue while examining the practice of philanthropy.

Share & Connect

Members connect with their peers and community members to broaden their outlooks and learn about the barriers that hold inequities in place.

Collaborate

By pooling contributions, resources, and diverse perspectives, members collaborate to create an accessible and equitable grantmaking process.

Curious?

Get on our mailing list and attend our September kickoff or another fall meeting to get a sense of what we’re all about. Fourth Generation meets on the third Wednesday of every month. You’re also welcome to reach out to Sara Lueben with questions.

Commit.

Ready to join? Fourth Generation members each pledge $500 to the group’s giving. Pledges are due at the end of December, and payments are due at the end of March. Payment options and scholarships are available.

Celebrate!

Fourth Generation makes grantmaking decisions in the spring. We announce awards in May and celebrate with our grantees at our year-end celebration event.
