Nobody Saves the World Alone

A Celebration of Collective Giving
Thursday, August 6, 2026 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join us for an evening of inspiration and connection as we explore the power of collective giving. Whether you’re part of a giving circle, support collective giving in your community, or are simply collective-curious, you’re invited!

No one saves the world alone. And honestly, we wouldn't want to.

Thriving communities only happen when people work together. The good news? For generations, people across cultures and communities have come together to pool resources, share responsibility, support one another, and create change.

At this event, we’ll celebrate the rich history of collective giving, its growing role in civic engagement and community-based solutions—including work led by the Minneapolis Foundation—and the future we can build when more people see themselves as changemakers.

Featuring Hali Lee, author of The Big We and co-founder of the Donors of Color Network; Julián Castro, former U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and CEO of the Latino Community Foundation; Tyeshia Wilson, Senior Director of Community at Philanthropy Together; and Bo Thao-Urabe, Co-Founder of Rooted to Last and member of the BMPP Giving Circle.

Come celebrate a movement that is expanding who participates in giving, decision-making, and community change. Together, we can do extraordinary things.
