Grant Programs

Our grant programs invest in solutions that promote sustainability both locally and across the region.

Climate Action & Racial Equity

This fund—a partnership between the City of Minneapolis, the McKnight Foundation, and the Minneapolis Foundation—drives hyper-local efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. It’s focused on place-based, community-driven projects and organizations.

Thriving Communities

Funded through the EPA, the Great Lakes Thriving Communities program awards grants to community-driven environmental and health initiatives across six states and 37 tribal nations, making federal support more accessible to underserved communities.
