Reimagining
Education in 2021
This collaborative initiative transforms research into collective action to make our education system better for each and every child.

Connecting Educators and Researchers – How can we scale up great ideas from one classroom or school, so they serve every student? With our support, education researchers at the University of Minnesota are tackling this challenge in partnership with teachers and leaders at Minneapolis Public Schools. In 2021, we seeded a partnership that will enable these two bedrock community institutions to work together on improving school climate and academic outcomes. Learn more about this partnership >
Box Tops for Education – After the murder of George Floyd, General Mills made a public commitment to advance racial equity through significant investments in both its hometown and across the country. The company chose to focus on a few key issues where it is well-positioned to make a difference, including education. In 2021, we partnered with its Box Tops for Education program as it expanded its mission to include equity in education. In the brief video below, Patrice Relerford, our Senior Director of Impact and Collective Giving, explains the importance of this work.
