2024 Climate Action and Racial Equity Grants
We are pleased to announce that the Minneapolis Climate Action and Racial Equity Fund is now accepting applications for its next round of grants.
This fund, a partnership between the City of Minneapolis, the Minneapolis Foundation, and the McKnight Foundation, offers grants for place-based, community-driven initiatives and projects that contribute to a reduction in local greenhouse gas emissions and increase the livability and resilience of local communities. Proposals should align with the goals of the Minneapolis Climate Equity Plan and the Minneapolis Strategic Racial Equity Plan.
The fund will grant approximately $300,000 in 2024, with awards expected to range between $20,000 and $50,000.
ELIGIBILITY
This funding opportunity is open to 501(c)(3)nonprofits, schools, churches, neighborhood organizations, business associations, and charitable/grassroots organizations with a fiscal agent.
HOW TO APPLY
Applications must be submitted online through the Minneapolis Foundation’s online portal. We encourage you to log in well before the deadline to ensure that you have access to the portal and that your organization’s contact information is current. Before starting your application, be sure to download and review the 2024 Grant Guidelines and Application Preview Worksheet.
